World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally there are many weapons with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus can sometimes be greater than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
upgrade item of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. While item upgrading is usually a good thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make items inaccessible, unless you're very lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to improve their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade a helm or chest, this will increase its defense base while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or connect to the status of your account.
Armor
A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to traverse difficult areas. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you can get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and mastered the fountain in question and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees needed for each will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a large number of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense so that you're able to survive a battle with your friends.
You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have a few upgrades to your chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five different types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
When a poton is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item. The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
There are also simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important as a Thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. A player can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
