Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Items that are upgraded are components that can be slotted into weapons, armor and trinkets to offer a bonus. They tend to be more expensive and require that the item be of an appropriate rank.
Upgrades are rarely worth it for items with high requirements. This is especially the case for items that don't roll a lot of variance like Eth titans.
Glyphs

After reaching level 50 in Diablo 4, Blizzard's action RPG takes a turn from its streamlined campaign into the final game. The game's mechanics start to change, with players being pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds that ensure their character's building is as strong as possible.
Glyphs play a significant role to this process. Glyphs' stats attributes and effect radius on the Paragon Board are boosted by increasing their upgrade level. There are a variety of ways to get these upgrades The most popular is through raiding Faction Crypts.
The Glyphs panel allows you to insert glyphs into your text by selecting the appropriate option from the menu on the left of the screen. The panel initially displays glyphs in the font that your cursor is but you can switch to a different font or type style, and narrow the list of glyphs to a specific subset by selecting one of the options below the Entire Font (for instance Punctuation shows only punctuation symbols). You can see the CID/GID value and Unicode value of a glyph by moving your cursor.
Once you've inserted several glyphs, the Glyphs panel will keep track of the last 35 glyphs you used and make them available under the category of Recently Used on the first row of the panel (you need to expand the panel to view all 35). You can also remove them from this list by right-clicking or Control-clicking a glyph in the list and selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.
Another advantage of the Glyphs panel is that it permits you to create and edit an individual glyph set which is helpful when you must type certain types of text frequently. This will help you save the time of manually inserting each glyph when you require it.
A custom glyph can have up to 30 glyphs. This includes both the base name as well as its suffix. The glyphs in the base name must be uppercase English letters (A-Z), lowercase English letters (a-z), European digits (0-9) and underscore (_). The glyphs that make up the suffix could include ligatures or contextual alternates that are special variations that combine two or more characters into one visually unifying glyph.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the main mechanic that provides extra benefits on items, including additional stats. Upgrades are available in three distinct types: rerolling and leveling up and recycling. Each kind of upgrade comes with its own bonus for the item.
Reroll Tokens can be used to change the item's base stats and upgrade number. They can also be used to reroll substats in rings. This is helpful for players who want to upgrade an item, but the "potential" power of that item isn't what they're looking for. Or, if item upgrades of the item aren't what they want to be.
Rerolling an item costs 1 token. It will reset the upgrades, but keep the set, rarity and level unaffected. Leveling an item up increases its level and with each tier, the main stat is boosted by +3, while an additional stat randomly gets added to it. Leveling an item to its highest possible level increases its rank by 1.
The Blueprint Desk allows players to buy new Appliances, Ingredients and decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints are provided at the beginning of each Preparation Phase. They appear as envelopes which can be opened by pressing Grab. Each blueprint has a unique icon, and each category of upgradeable item having different icons:
Choosing a franchise card from the Blueprint Desk will allow you to obtain certain equipment or ingredients that are needed in certain recipes. Certain appliances and ingredients are considered to be staples which means they are not available at the Shop or through a reroll. However, others have a greater chance of appearing if a certain Franchise Card is selected from the Blueprint Desk. This is known as the Staple Pool, and the items that are in it will remain in that pool for the rest of the run. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.
Recycled Items
The magic happens when you use the third "R," recycling. When you recycle a product that is made of recycled materials, you are not only helping the environment, but also giving that item a new life. The majority of recycled items are sent back to the manufacturer from which they came to be remanufactured as a new item. This is referred to as "closing the loop of recycling."
If a person throws items in their recycling bin on the curb it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated and sorted into various components. Then, it gets sold on to manufacturers who can re-make the product. Items that are often transformed into new products include:
This reduces the necessity to harvest, grow or extract raw materials to create something other than. This in turn reduces the amount of damage caused to the natural environment and less trees are trimmed down, rivers diverted and wild animals displaced. This also reduces pollution by the dumping of raw materials into our water, soil and the air.
As an added bonus, purchasing recycled products help keep local jobs and businesses in business, particularly those that specialize in making goods using recycled materials. The demand for recycled products encourages businesses to participate in this eco-friendly effort.
The last reason to purchase recycled items is that it requires less energy to create new products from recycled materials than to make them from raw materials. This is because the manufacturing process of making a new aluminum can takes 95 percent more energy than production of an identical aluminum can from recycled material. Every little amount counts.
Leveling
The majority of units can upgrade their level, which gives them additional XP every time they attack or are attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades, or increase the main stats of the unit. Weapons are an excellent example, since they can improve their level and increase their damage as well as range.
Most levels require a certain number of levels to be reached however this can vary from game to game. Leveling is achieved by using coins or materials. The majority of systems utilize both, however some make use of one.
Leveling is a problem in a variety of games since it makes some units too powerful, and other units can't compete with them. Limiting the amount of leveling a player is allowed to perform will force them to consider what they want to upgrade, and why.
